GAO to hear protest of its own contract award
General Dynamics IT has gone to the Government Accountability Office to protest the agency's award of a $115 million contract to another company.
General Dynamics IT lost a contract to support IT operations at Government Accountability Office and they’ve filed a protest at… none other than GAO.
The contract was awarded by the NIH Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center and is worth $115.2 million. It was won by American Solutions International Group.
General Dynamics was the long-time incumbent through its acquisition of CSRA.
So how does GAO hear a protest of its own contract award? Simple answer: Firewalls, really good firewalls.
A decision is due Sept. 11.
