Air Force seeks contract to support Ogden logistics center

The Air Force is casting about for a contractor to support the business operations of the Ogden Air Logistics Center in Utah.

In a new RFI, the Air Force is starting market research for the contract and trying to determine if a small business can handle the work.

According to a draft work statement, the Air Force says it wants a contractor that can help develop proposals, data recommendations and coast proposals. The contractor will also provide project technical and management support, training guides and training.

Individual task orders under the contract will more specifically define the scope of work to be done.

Basic services include detailed research and analysis, business operations, depot activation, depot partnering, material research and analytical support. The RFI goes into detail on each of the specific base services.

The contractor will conduct gap analysis of the current system as well as roles and responsibilities, business rules, production capacity, equipment, facilities, tooling, manpower, schedule and requirements.

The Ogden Air Logistics Center supports a variety of aircraft including the F-35, F-22, F-16, A-10, C-130, T-38 Talon and other weapons systems including the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile.

Responses to the RFI are due July 1.
