Air Force wants software to model gas, oil refineries

The Air Force is looking for a commercial solution to help it better model gas and oil refinery processes to help the Joint Warfare Analysis Center meet its mission.

In a new sources sought notice, the Air Force describes several requirements but it basically wants to create a model that simulates how the oil and gas refinery process works.

The Air Force wants a system that can model, simulate, design and reverse engineering oil and gas steady state and dynamic refinery processes. It wil use that information for mission planning and other activities.

The Air Force is looking for process simulation software. For steady state simulation models, the Air Force wants the capability to design new processes and or rate existing processes. For the dynamic process design simulation, the Joint Warfare Analysis Center wants to design new dynamic processes or rate existing ones.

The software needs to be commercial developed and maintained by a U.S. vendor.

The software also has to perform on several platforms including desktops that are not connected to the internet. Other requirements the ability to operate in a network enterprise as well as virtual machine environment.
