SAIC keeps its HR Command win streak alive

Science Applications International Corp. has kept a 10-year win streak alive by capturing a $108 million contract from the Army Human Resources Command to continue its work developing virtual applications that support soldiers.

Since 2008, SAIC has built, operated and maintained 191 applications that support soldiers from enlistment to retirement.

The contract was awarded as a task order under the IT Enterprise Solutions 2 Services contract. It has a one-year base and a one-year option. Most of the work will be done in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

The Army HR Command is in charge of career management, sustainment, distribution and transition of Army personnel. The goal is to optimize readiness, enable leadership development and support an “agile and versatile Army,” SAIC said in a statement.

The company is providing HR and IT solutions and directly supports the HR Command, the Army Recruiting command, Army Cadet Command and Army Reserve and National Guard soldiers, veterans and families.

This is the fourth consecutive contract SAIC has won to support the HR Command.

It first started providing this kind of work when it won a five-year, $410 million contract. At that time the command consolidated several contracts and SAIC helped it streamline operations. The command also was moving work to Fort Knox as part of Defense Base Closure and Realignment relocations.

In 2014, it won a three-year, $221 million contract to continue the work, and last February it won a $72.8 million contract for one year.
