Serco's Americas arm elevates Dacquino to CEO
Serco’s Americas division promotes its defense business chief David Dacquino to CEO as current chief Dan Allen heads toward retirement.
Serco Group's subsidiary for the Americas region has promoted its defense business president and 36-year industry veteran David Dacquino to CEO with the appointment to take effect in the middle of this year.
Dacquino will join the Britain-based parent company's executive committee and take on the new responsibilities "over the coming weeks," Reston, Va.-based Serco Inc. said. Current CEO Dan Allen said in February he would retire from the company after nearly four years at the helm.
Serco Inc. generated $944 million in revenue for 2016 to represent one-quarter of overall sales for government services provider Serco Group. Nearly 30 percent of Serco Inc.'s sales stem from an Affordable Care Act-related contract to provide eligibility processes for those seeking health insurance.
Prior to Serco Inc., Dacquino's career includes stints as CEO of aviation services provider SkyLink and before that a chief executive role for the North American operations of technology services contractor VT Group. He also held executive roles at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
Allen joined Serco Inc. in October 2013, nearly eight months after he was replaced as CEO of CACI International. He held the chief executive role at CACI for one year.
