U.S. courts seek IT support for case management systems

The federal judiciary is looking for IT support for case management and other systems used to manage case management systems across the country.

The U.S. Judiciary released a draft solicitation that could lead to a five-year IT service contract to support its Case Management Systems Office (CMSO).

CMSO is within the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. CMSO aids the U.S. Federal Courts and the Probation and Pretrial Services Offices with IT services.

CMSO develops and provides support for the Probation and Pretrial Service Automated Case Tracking System (PACTS). PACTS consists of more than 40 mission-critical applications. CMSO also supports the U.S. Courts’ Case Management Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system. CM/ECF includes more than 33 modules distinct to each of the Appellate, Bankruptcy, and District Courts.

According to the request for information, the Judiciary wants production operations, help desk services and cybersecurity services for PACTS and CM/ECF applications.

The Judiciary is looking for best practice frameworks, such as knowledge management, infrastructure configuration, and incident management.

The work will be awarded under a blanket purchase agreement contract.

The Judiciary released its RFI May 19. Responses are due by June 8.
