Booz Allen Hamilton won a $10 million contract to help the Air Force study the application of high power electromagnetics with cyber and electronic warfare applications.
Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $10 million contract to help the Air Force study high power electromagnetics and cyber electronic warfare applications.
The company will study opportunities where high power electromagnetics, known as HPEM, can complement the use of cyber or electronic warfare technologies.
The contract was awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. The lab is leading the Air Force’s research efforts around HPEM and its use for directed energy weapons.
In this contract, Booz Allen will be conducting experiments on how HPEM can used be for cyber and electronic warfare missions.
Work will take place at Kirtland and the contract runs through June 5, 2020.
Booz was one of six companies to bid on the work.
