Dave Wennergren has added a new title to his job description at the Professional Services Council.

Wennergren has been named chief operating officer in addition to being executive vice president.

In his new role, Wennergren will support PSC president and CEO David Berteau to ensure that the industry group’s operations are integrated and aligned properly.

PSC represents a wide base of government contractors from systems integrators to international development companies to technical services firms.

Wennergren will continue to lead the organization’s technology agenda but he will also look for ways to improve PSC’s efficiency as well as identify new services for member companies.

In addition, he has been charged with helping to translate PSC priorities into ways to help the government be a smarter buyer. The goal is to ensure an “open and vibrant federal marketplace,” he said.

Wennergren joined PSC in 2014 after about a year as a vice president at CACI International. Most of his professional career has been spent in the government including a stint as chief information officer for the Navy, deputy assistant secretary of Defense and deputy DOD CIO, and assistant deputy chief management officer for DOD.
