Small biz tapped for $23.8M combat systems support work

A small business has captured a contract to help the Navy with the systems it uses to identify friend and foe.
PSI Pax Inc. of California, Md., has won a $23.8 million Navy contract to support the Combat Integration and Identification Systems Division.
Work will include systems design, engineering, integration, training and operational support for ship and shore combat identification, air traffic control and command and control systems.
The company will support the systems that the Navy uses to track targets and distinguish between what they call “cooperative” and “non-cooperative” targets.
The PSI Pax contract runs through March 2022 and was competitively awarded as a small-business set aside contract. There were three bidders including PSI Pax.
The company is a woman-owned small business. Among its capabilities are systems modernization and integration, collaborative network solutions, program management and cybersecurity.
Among its Navy customers are the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, and the Navy Strategic Systems Programs. Other customers include the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Social Security Administration, the Army and the Defense Department.
The company holds positions on the Navy Seaport-e and the Navy Customer Technical Representative Support Services BPA which support the Navy’s NGEN contract.
