Help us take the pulse of the industry

Our Contractor Confidence Index survey is now live, and we'd like you to tell us how you feel about the direction of the market, and how confident you feel moving forward.

Research is underway for our next Washington Technology Contractor Confidence Index. This will be our first since the Trump administration took office.

If you haven’t received an email asking you to take the brief confidential survey, you can click here to take it.

Our Contractor Confidence Index takes the pulse of the industry by asking a set of questions around your expectations for the quarter. We ask about whether you think your company will grow or hire more people. Are layoffs in the works? How do you feel about the general direction of the marketplace?

We take the answers to these questions and score them to calculate an index number. When we started in 2015, we created a baseline of 100, and since then, the index has moved up and down from that baseline.

The last Contractor Confidence Index in August stood at 98.3, which was the lowest the index had fallen since it hit a peak of 101.9 in the third quarter of 2015.

I’ll be very curious where the index lands now that the election is over and a new administration is in place.

I hope you are curious, too, and will take the few minutes to respond to the confidential survey. We’ll have the results out in March once data collection and our analysis take place.
