Leidos wins $350M recompete contract to support USAF mission planning enterprise

Leidos has won a $350 million contract to continue providing mission planning systems engineering and integration for the Air Force’s Joint Mission Planning Enterprise.

The Joint Mission Planning Enterprise’s mission is to allow aircrews to conduct detailed mission planning to support the full spectrum of missions ranging from training to combat scenarios.

Under this contact, Leidos will continue to provide architecture design, program management, system integration, and independent validation, verification and evaluation products, as well as systems engineering products, the company said in a release.

Leidos will also integrate systems engineering and innovative solutions that provide the USAF low-risk delivery, improved cost, and enhanced schedule and performance of each MPE across the enterprise.

The contract, called the SEIC II contract, will last ten years. The contract is a follow-on to the SEIC I contract, under which Leidos was one of the incumbents (as SAIC) for 11 years. The other incumbents included Northrop Grumman, Boeing, and Jacobs Engineering.
