Galois wins $5.6M contract to help defeat reverse engineering threats

Galois has won a $5.6 million contract to help the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency make software less susceptible to being hacked.

The contract is part of DARPA’s SafeWare program that funds research into defeating reverse engineering software threats. The program develops technologies that use cryptographic methods to make the intellectual property embedded in software incomprehensible to a reverse engineer, yet allow for its code to run normally, Galois said in a release.

To complete the effort, Galois is leading a team comprised of Invincea, the University of Bristol, and UCLA.
