David Shulkin to lead VA in new administration

President-elect Donald Trump has selected Dr. David Shulkin to lead the Veterans Affairs Department.

Shulkin was originally an appointee of President Barack Obama and was confirmed as the head of the agency’s health delivery system on June 23, 2015, according to FCW.

Shuklin said in his confirmation hearing that he supports legislation that extends the private-sector options of VA patients, FCW reported.
