16 percent of IT executives expect to expand IT teams in 2017, survey says
A recent survey conducted by Robert Half reports that 16 percent of Washington D.C.-area technology executives expect to expand their IT teams in the first half of 2017.
A recent survey conducted by Robert Half reports that 16 percent of Washington D.C.-area technology executives expect to expand their IT teams in the first half of 2017.
Sixty-eight percent of those surveyed said they'd only be refilling existing positions. Twelve percent plan to freeze hiring, and 4 percent expect to reduce their IT staff.
As far as other concerns, 32 percent of respondents said maintaining the security of their IT systems and safeguarding company information is top of mind. Twenty-four percent said that upgrading existing systems for business efficiency was their top concern.
Other concerns include investing in new technologies (17 percent), helping grow the business (13 percent) and retaining staff (13 percent).
