Contract award activity kicked it into high gear in the ninth month of 2016—the final month of the federal fiscal year—with Washington Technology reporting on a record-setting 72 awards.
September, known in the industry as being the month where the government must “use it or lose it” with their contracting dollars, saw a much larger number of awards than August’s 44 awards.
September 2016’s 72 awards is also more than September 2015’s 70 awards. Washington Technology has covered 454 awards so far this year, compared to 449 awards at this point last year.
