PAE, Vectrus Systems form JV to pursue $150B Army LOGCAP V

PAE and Vectrus Systems Corp. have created a joint venture partnership called PAE Vectrus in order to pursue the U.S. Army’s $150 billion Logistics Civil Augmentation Program V program.

Scott Welker has been tapped to lead the joint venture as president. He was formerly deputy to the commander of Joint Munitions Command Headquarters at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill.

“With forward-deployed operations on all seven continents, the team can quickly mobilize its existing local workforce in any area of operation and leverage a robust international supply chain to respond rapidly to any requirement,” Welker said in a release.

The $150 billion LOGCAP V program is meant to provide contingency support to augment the Army force structure. Field services include sanitation, food services, operations and maintenance and information operations. Other services include information technology, transportation maintenance and retrograde engineering and construction.

DynCorp International, Fluor Corp., and KBR are the incumbents on the current contract, which was awarded in 2007. 

According to Deltek, Fluor Corp. has captured the most work under the contract at $10.9 billion in task orders. DynCorp is second in line with $7.3 billion in task orders. KBR holds up the back with $1.8 billion in orders.

The RFP for LOGCAP V is expected in January with an award in November.
