Contract award activity slowed a bit in the eighth month of 2016, with Washington Technology reporting on 44 awards.

August’s 44 awards is a couple of awards shy of July’s 46, as well as being lower than August 2015’s 55 awards. So far, Washington Technology has covered 382 awards compared to 379 awards at this point last year.

10. Raytheon wins $104M contract to modernize Global Hawk ground segment

Raytheon has won a $104 million contract to modernize the ground segment for the U.S. Air Force RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle.

9. Lockheed awarded $126.3M contract extension for high-tech periscopes

Lockheed Martin Corp. has been awarded a $126.3 million contract modification by the Navy for engineering services and support of an integrated submarine imaging system.

8. Alion wins $145M contract to manage Navy shipbuilding program

Alion Science and Technology has won a $145 million contract to support the Navy’s DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program.

7. Five companies win $155.8M contract to support Joint Chiefs of Staff cyber program

Five companies have won a $155.8 million contract to support the Joint Chiefs of Staff J6 Directorate’s C4/Cyber Program.

6. Imagine One Technology and Management wins $175M task order for sustainment, modernization

Imagine One Technology and Management has won a potentially $175 million task order for Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution Sustainment and Modernization support.

5. ManTech wins $208M task order to support Marine Corps

ManTech International Corporation has been awarded a $208 million task order to support the Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISR-E) objectives.

4. Unisys fights for, wins $232.5M incumbent contract

Unisys Corp. has faced down challenges to a $232.5 million Agriculture Department win and held onto a long-term incumbent contract.

3. Small biz wins $305.7M contract to support Army surveillance system

Bravura Information Technology Systems has won a $305.7 million contract to support the Army’s Persistent Surveillance Systems – Tethered system.

2. Booz Allen nets $379.6M IED task order

Booz Allen Hamilton has won a $379.6 million contract to help the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Agency with a variety of tasks related to its mission.

1. Lockheed wins $490M contract to expand Aegis fleet

Lockheed Martin has won a $490 million contract to deliver integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) capabilities to destroyers and expand the global Aegis fleet in the United States, Japan and Korea.
