SAIC to support mine detection program under $9.7M option

Science Applications International Corp. has been awarded a $9.7 million option to support the Navy’s Mine Warfare and Environmental Decision Aids Library program.
The MEDAL program provides mine warfare situational awareness, mission planning/evaluation, and asset management software to support existing and emerging mine warfare missions, users, and systems, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed in September 2017.
