HHS is one of those unique agencies that not only spends a lot of money of its own in IT but also has some of the most popular government wide procurement vehicles around.

HHS is home to FDA, the CDC, and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare. It also has the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center, which runs the $60 billion CIO-SP3 GWAC contract.

Killoran has been at HHS since 2014, and before that, she served for 11 years at the Homeland Security Department and nine years at the Treasury Department. During her career, she has held a variety of leadership positions. At HHS, she oversees high priority projects, leads strategic IT investment planning and drives change across the organization.

Joining Killoran at the event will be Bridget Gauer, acting director of NITAAC. She sets the strategic vision for the NIH GWAC program including CIO-SP.

Also speaking will be Donald Knode Jr., director of the IT contracts group at CMS.

We are planning to add more speakers for the morning event as we look at specific contract opportunities coming out of HHS. Some of the services the department needs include bioinformatics, IT infrastructure support and contact center support.

Our focus will be on what HHS is buying, how they buy it and how you can find opportunities to grow your business there.

There also will be time for networking and meeting competitors and potential partners.

Again, click here for more information and if you have a chance, say "Hi." I’ll be the MC and moderator for the morning event.
