HP Enterprise makes $275M deal for data analytics, management firm

HP Enterprise has acquired SGI for $275 million in a move that boosts HP’s data analytics and data management solutions.

The acquisition strengthens HP’s position in the $11 billion high-performance computing and data analytics markets as well as expands the company’s presence in the government, research, life sciences and supercomputing markets, the company said in a release.

HP expects the acquisition to be neutral to earnings in the first full year following close, the company said.
