4 win $100M Army fire control software contract

Four small businesses will compete for task orders to improve the software used on various fire control systems for the Army.
Four small businesses will compete with each other for task orders to improve the software used on various fire control systems for the Army.
Sharing the $99.9 million contract are:
- Subsystems Technologies Inc., Arlington, Va.
- WisEngineering LLC, Dover, N.J.
- RDM Engineering LLC, Oak Ridge, N.J.
- Total Technology Inc., Cherry Hill, N.J.
The contract known as the Fire Control Systems and Technology Core Competency Support contract, has two functional areas.
Area 1 is for mortars and common fire control support and includes services such as requirements analysis, software engineering and training and field support.
Area 2 is for Artillery Fire Control Support and includes many of the same core services and support needs, according to solicitation documents.
Substystems, WisEngineering, RDM and Total Technology are incumbent contractors on the work, according to Deltek. Two incumbents – Decilog Inc. and MTA Inc. – have not won spots on the new contract. We’ll be tracking the protest docket at the Government Accountability Office to see if they file anything.
The contract was competed as a small-business set-aside contract.
