The Navy has added 608 new companies to its $5.3 billion SeaPort-e contract vehicle.

The Navy has added 608 new companies to its $5.3 billion SeaPort-e contract vehicle.

The 608 new companies join the pre-existing 2,884 companies on the SeaPort-e bill.

Together, the 3,492 companies provide support to the Navy across 22 functional areas including IT support, research and development, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, software engineering, quality assurance and other areas.

The awards were made as part of the contract’s rolling admission process.

The Navy received 682 bids this time around, the Defense Department said in a release.
