HP fights for $104M Alliant task order

HP Enterprise Services has registered their displeasure over losing a $104 million contract to provide IT support to a variety of Defense Department offices.
HP Enterprise Services is protesting a $104 million contract that went to CACI International to support various Defense Department activities.
The contract was awarded as a task order under the GSA Alliant contract and HP has told the Government Accountability Office that DOD did not properly assess its price and proposal. If they had, they should have won instead of CACI.
The contract supports the Washington Headquarters Services, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, components of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and other DOD activities.
The requirement is known as the Joint Service Provider and consolidates IT support services under a single contractor.
HP filed its protest July 11 and a decision from GAO is expected by Oct. 19.
There is limited public visibility into Alliant task orders so it’s unclear if the competition was only between CACI and HP or if there are other disappointed bidders waiting in the wings to file their own protests.
