DISA extends due date on cybersecurity RFI

DISA is giving more time for contractors to respond to a sources sought notice looking for information on denial of service and distributed denial of service solutions.
DISA has pushed back the deadline for responses to a sources sought notice on cyber defense solutions.
The agency is looking for information on denial of service and distributed denial of service detection and mitigation solutions, according to an FBO.gov posting.
Comments are now due July 22, rather than July 18.
DISA is looking for solutions that can monitor network traffic that crosses the boundary of the Internet/NIPRNET as well as the internal Defense Department Information Network (DoDIN). The agency is looking for responses from large and small businesses as it tries to determine an acquisition strategy.
In the sources sought notices, DISA describes the need to monitor 10 access points as well as traffic at other locations within the DoDIN. There is a need to support at least 10 OC-192 circuits with flow rates of 80 million per hour inbound and 35 million per hour outbound.
The address space to be monitored is “very large and not contiguous,” DISA said.
Currently, DISA uses Arbor Peakflow for detection and mitigation but is interested in solutions with more mitigation techniques.
