The research work is still underway for our next WT Contractor Confidence Index so follow the link in this post to give us your opinion on current market conditions.

Our quarterly Contractor Confidence Index looks at the market’s perspective on growth, investments, hiring, and whether the market is generally headed in a positive or negative direction.

All the individual answers are held in confidence, but we aggregate the results to create an index number. We started last year with a baseline index of 100, and we’ve seen it go up and down since then.

Last quarter, the index was 99.4, down from 100.5 the quarter before. Not a significant shift, but it was the second quarter in a row where we had seen a drop.

Here is a link to the Contractor Confidence Index story we did in April.

With the next set of results, we’ll have six quarters of results, so we’ll be able to do more analysis of how the market’s sentiment is evolving. I’ll be particularly interested in the views on growth, hiring and investments.

The survey will be open for another week or so.
