Agile Defense continues fight for $62.9M Army contract

Agile Defense is going in for a second round as it continues to battle for a $62.5 million contract to provide IT support to the Army Test and Evaluation Command.
Agile Defense Inc. is going in for a second round as it continues to battle for a $62.9 million contract to provide IT services to the Army Test and Evaluation Command.
The company filed its first protest earlier this year, which was dismissed in June when the Army decided to take a corrective action.
Last week, it filed a second protest after the Army made an award to Advanced Alliant Solutions Team under the GSA Alliant Small Business contract.
AAST is a joint venture led by Technical and Management Resources Inc.
The contract supports the command’s headquarters and the Army Evaluation Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland and the Operational Test Command at Fort Hood, Texas, and includes some support at Fort Bragg, N.C., and other locations.
The winning contractor will supply IT, logistics and cybersecurity support. Work includes enterprise networking, technical policy writing and IT field testing support.
STG Inc. is the incumbent on the contract and has been awarded an extension because of delays due to the protests. The Army said it needed the extension because it didn’t want to lose support for the test and evaluation command and others across the Defense Department who rely on the command’s work.
GAO is expected to rule on Agile’ s protest by Oct. 24.
