The time to bid on the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle is now as GSA releases the final RFP.

Alliant 2, which will help agencies buy IT services-based package solutions for hardware, software and services—is comprised of two contracts—one unrestricted, and one designated for small businesses. The two together could total $50 billion.

Responses to the RFPs are due Aug. 29.

Alliant 2 Unrestricted will last five years, and GSA anticipates making 60 awards. Alliant 2 Small Business will have 80 winners.

According to Washington Technology sister publication FCW, potential bidders noted that the timing of the Alliant RFPs will make August a very busy time for companies since the $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract RFP, the replacement for Networx, is expected in late July.

Alliant 2 will cover cloud computing, agile development, biometrics and identity management, IT operations and maintenance, enterprise app stores and mobile security, Internet of Things, cybersecurity, data center consolidation and shared IT services.
