Agile Defense awarded $27.9M IT services option

Agile Defense Inc. has been awarded a $27.9 million option to provide IT services and support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

Agile Defense Inc. has been awarded a $27.9 million option to provide IT services and support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

The option was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Alliant Small Business contract vehicle.

The contract supports DARPA’s Mission Services Office (MSO), which oversees DARPA’s enterprise business operations including security, intelligence, external audits, privacy, information technology, facilities, travel, records management, Freedom of Information Act, and research services, the agency said on its website.

Under the contract, Agile Defense Inc. will provide IT support to the MSO’s Information Technology Directorate, including office computing, networking, communications services, design and development, and technical support services, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed in June 2017.

Seven companies bid on this contract, the Defense Department said.
