AAI Corp. wins $35M contract for UAV ISR support

AAI Corp. has won a $35 million sole source contract to provide the U.S. Special Operations Command with unmanned aircraft systems support.

Under the contract, AAI Corp. will provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance services for the Command’s unmanned aerial aircrafts.

The one-year contract was awarded in order to prevent interruption of services until a follow-on contract can be competitively awarded, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will take place worldwide and is expected to be completed in June 2017.
