Lockheed Martin nets $424.2M contract to support electronic warfare project

Lockheed Martin has won a $424.2 million contract with the Navy to support the Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range project.

The project’s purpose is to provide ground electronic warfare and surface-to-air weapons threats, the Defense Department said in a release.

Under the contract, Lockheed will provide products and services related to AN/GPQ-11(V) threat radar emitter simulations. The company will also provide other threat simulators and equipment.

Work will be performed in Ridgecrest, Calif., and is expected to be completed in May 2021.

Lockheed Martin was the only bidder on the contract, which was contracted out by the The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif.
