HPE strengthens data security offering

Find opportunities — and win them.

HP Enterprise has released a new security suite they say will mitigate data breaches and meet increasing security goals.

HP Enterprise and its HP Security group released a new data security suite today that the company says will mitigate data breaches and meet NIST and other global security requirements.

The company is calling the offerings HPE SecureData with Hyper Format-Preserving Encryption (FPE) and Hyper Secure Stateless Tokenization (SST).

The Hyper FPE technology protects data in use, at rest and in motion, the company said. It is targeting government customers, global enterprises and European organizations that need to comply with new European Commission requirements.

The company said that rise of the cloud, big data and the Internet of Things has expanded the attack surface that organizations need to defend.

Using end-to-end encryption and tokenization will render stolen data useless to attackers, which will mitigate the financial, operational and reputational impact, HPE said in its announcement.

The offerings are now part of the HPE SecureData family of products and services.
