Exelis wins $10.4M contract mod to continue support of Air Force ISR system
Exelis has won a $10.4 million contract modification to continue its support of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System.
Exelis has won a $10.4 million contract modification to continue its support of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System. Exelis is now part of Harris Corp.
The system is the Air Force’s primary intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance analysis tool.
Under the contract, Exelis will provide the use of InfiniBand Wide Area Network high-speed transport layer and data usage and dissemination capabilities.
This provides direct feed of information without going through a third party, increased speed for data collection and processing, and cloud computing architecture, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work is expected to be completed by July 31, 2017.
