CACI International Inc. has won a $34 million contract to continue its work on a federal financial management and accounting system for the Defense Department’s Defense Agencies Initiative.
The Defense Agencies Initiative is an effort by the Defense Logistics Agency to improve the budget, finance and accounting operations at DOD agencies.
Under the three-year contract, CACI will incorporate multiple accounting systems into a single platform using an Oracle enterprise resource planning solution. The platform will be used by numerous agencies across the Defense Department.
The consolidation of financial management systems will support auditability and lower the cost of operating multiple legacy systems, said CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations John Mengucci in a release.
