SRI International scores $7.8M contract to support warfighter security

SRI International has won a $7.8 million contract to provide the Navy with basic and applied research for security technologies.

These technologies will support development and deployment of interoperable surveillance, tracking, security, and access control solutions to provide increased capabilities to the warfighter. 

SRI’s technologies will also have an open system architecture approach for systems to develop sensors that support aviation platforms, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Princeton, N.J., and Stonington, Conn., and is expected to be completed in April 2017.

SRI International was the only bidder on this contract, the Defense Department said.
