Booz Allen hire builds on directed energy strategy

Booz Allen Hamilton has named Dr. David Stoudt senior executive advisor and thought leader for the company’s Directed Energy initiative.

Stoudt has also been recognized by the company as a Booz Allen Fellow, a group which consists of experts in various functional disciplines.

Stoudt joins the company from the Navy, where he most recently served as its first senior technologist for directed energy. His areas of expertise include laser interactions with material, pulsed power technology, high-energy laser and high-power microwave weapons effects and modeling.

His hire is part of Booz Allen's strategy to build its expertise directed energy. The company said it wants to build a business around the emerging technology as it matures and comes into the mainstream of defense, intelligence, civil, commercial and international applications.
