12 win $800M contract for Navy command, control program

Twelve companies have won Navy contracts worth a total of $800 million to support the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Command and Control program.

The winners are:

• Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Advanced Technology Programs
• EOIR Technologies
• SI2 Technologies
• S2 Corp.
• Sea Corp.
• Leidos
• Rockwell Collins
• Physical Optics Corp.
• TiCom Geomantics

The combined value of all of the winners’ contracts is $800 million, the Defense Department said in a release.

The program is designed to identify how to develop a set of prototypes that integrate radio frequency functionality electronic warfare, radar, communications and information operations into a common set of electronics and software/firmware through a scalable architecture, the Defense Department said.

The prototypes will be able to provide multiple beams that can perform any of these functions and will be able to be integrated with previously developed systems and with C5ISR systems, which will enable resource allocation, spectrum operations in real time, emissions control and electromagnetic maneuver to improve the Navy’s information dominance.

The contracts run through April 2021.

Each of the bidders won a contract, the Defense Department said. The Office of Naval Research is managing the contract.
