Census Bureau unclear about how, if contractors will aid in 2020 census

The clock is ticking for the Census Bureau with 2020 just four years away, and the bureau must decide whether it will build or buy technology to get the job done, according to FCW.

With the questions that the agency is grappling with, it is unclear how it will utilize the private sector, if at all. The 2010 census had the bureau tapping Lockheed Martin for technology support.

So far, the bureau has not responded to requests for comment, FCW reported.
