Booz Allen fights for lost Navy contract

Find opportunities — and win them.

Another incumbent has lost a recompete as Booz Allen fights for a $30 million Navy contract for command and control support.

Booz Allen Hamilton is fighting for a lost incumbent contract supporting Navy command and control support work.

The company is protesting a $30 million Navy contract that went to American Systems Corp. Booz Allen has been the incumbent on the contract since at least 2010, according to information posted on the Deltek website.

The two competed for the work supporting the Navy’s program executive office for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence via the Seaport-e contract.

The task order specifically supports the Program Manager Warfare 120 program, which overseas battlespace awareness and information operations sensors, content and applications.

American Systems won the work on Nov. 17, and Booz Allen filed its protest on Nov. 30. A decision from GAO is expected by March 9.

The contract calls for program management, acquisition management, contract management, business management and installation management support services.

The protest is another example of the competitive pressures incumbents face in today’s flat IT market.
