Northrop wins $100M encryption contract
Northrop Grumman has won a contract to provide encryption devices to the Joint Battle Command Platform program.
Northrop Grumman has won a $99.9 million DISA contract to supply encryption devices for the Joint Battle Command Platform program.
The company will be supply KGV-72 Type 1 Programmable Inline Encryption Devices or PIEDS. The devices are used to encrypt network traffic.
This is a five-year contract with five one-year options. Most of the work will be done in Rochester, N.Y.
Two companies bid on the contract.
