IT work needed for Navy subs

In a sources sought notice, DISA said it is developing the Submarine Maintenance, Engineering, Planning and Procurement Activity contract or SUBMEPP. The current incumbent is Amsec LLC.
The current contract is valued at $19 million and provide services such as information management technology support, systems and application maintenance, and support for Navy Marine Corps Intranet as it relates to submarines. Other services include onsite IT support, infrastructure and contract security requirements.
DISA hasn’t decided whether the contract will remain a full-and-open competition as it is currently, or if it’ll be a small business contract. That likely depends on whether two or more small businesses respond to the RFI and can show they are capable of doing the work.
The government also is open to businesses using joint ventures to bid on the work.
DISA may use one of the following contracts to bid the work: ENCORE II, GSA schedules, GSA Mobis, or NASA SEWP. It also may use other contracts.
The work under the contract takes place at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine.
