One more day for NGEN RFI
The Navy said the NGEN RFI would be released on or about Sept. 16. It looks like "on or about" is going to be Sept. 17. Stay tuned.
I guess I should read the Navy notice a bit more carefully.
They announced that they would be releasing a request for information for the follow-on to the $3.4 billion Navy Next Generation Network contract.
They said the RFI would be out “on or about Sept. 16,” and I read that to mean today. But it looks like "on or about" Sept. 16 is really Sept. 17. I think.
A Navy spokesman said the release is now scheduled for Thursday.
I’ll reserve comment on whether this early one-day delay bodes ill for the Navy’s chances of having the follow-on contract up and running by June 27, 2018, when the current contract with Hewlett-Packard expires.
Stay tuned. The release should be Thursday. Or not.
