President Barack Obama has announced a new executive order requiring federal contractors to give employees paid sick leave, according to FCW.

The order would allot one hour of sick leave per 30 hours of work and applies to both primes and subs.
The new sick leave may be used for physical or mental illness, doctor visits and care for dependents and others, FCW reported. It also extends to victims of domestic violence, stalking or sexual assault to allow them to seek counseling, relocation or other services.
