Carlyle, Chertoff make cyber play
The Carlyle Group and the Chertoff Group have joined forces to buy a majority stake in Coalfire Systems, a company that provides audit and compliance services around cybersecurity.
The Carlyle Group and the Chertoff Group have joined forces to acquire a majority stake in Coalfire Systems, a company that provides audit and compliance services around cybersecurity.
In the government space, Coalfire provides IT audit and assessment services to cloud service providers pursuing requirements such as FedRAMP and Authority to Operate certifications.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Colorado-based company has 300 employees in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The Chertoff Group has worked with Coalfire for several years, using the company as a security and compliance advisor, said Chertoff co-founder Chad Sweet.
