Awards and opportunities lead DLT to new headquarters

After a slew of new contract awards and strategic hires, DLT Solutions has switched the locations to its headquarters to better suit the company.

But this isn’t just a real estate change; inside the new HQ, DLT has established both an operations center and an innovation center, which add new capabilities to the company and allow DLT to better serve its customers, said Brian Strosser, executive vice president of sales and marketing at DLT.

The DLT Operations Center has two components to it, Strosser said. “One is an expansion of a capability we had in our old facility—it’s a 24/7 U.S. citizen/U.S. soil call center, so DLT is taking first and second line call support for major global companies like Symantec, Veritas, Amazon Web Services, Google, NetApp and Quantum,” Strosser said.

The other piece of the DLT Operations Center is DLT managed services. “One of the things we have identified within the government space as well as the commercial space is that customers are more focused on managing their mission versus managing IT,” Strosser said.

That has federal agencies relying on companies like DLT Solutions, and the managed services piece of the DLT Operations Center allows the company to meet their customers’ needs.

As for the DLT Innovation Center, “that’s a capability in which DLT has an opportunity to test technologies that our vendors innovate, put technologies together to create our own technologies, and demonstrate our new technologies to our government customers,” Strosser said.

In addition to making room for new capabilities, the company needed to set up shop in a new location due to a number of big contract awards including spots on the NASA SEWP V contract and the NIH CIO-CS contracts, both worth $20 billion.

The new headquarters also allows the company to deepen its position in the state and local market, Strosser said—a goal of the company’s—as well as expand its cloud computing and cybersecurity capabilities.

Moving forward, DLT Solutions is also looking to embrace a more agile or “dev ops” oriented portfolio, said David Blankenhorn, DLT chief technology officer. This fits into adding more value not only to DLT customers, but also to the company’s vendors.
