Obama threatens veto of 2016 National Defense Authorization Act

President Obama might veto the National Defense Authorization Act of 2016, stating that it wastes federal funds and undermines administration policies, according to Federal Times.

In 2016, the House—who is currently considering the bill—allotted billions of additional dollars into overseas contingency operations funding, which is not subject to the caps enacted by sequestration.

The administration is arguing that increasing OCO funding ignores the long-term connection between national security and economic security, Federal Times reported.
