GSA prepares for take 2 of $5B VETS GWAC

The General Services Administration has reached out to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses in preparation for the second iteration of its Veterans Technology Services governmentwide acquisition contract.

The VETS 2 GWAC will replace the current VETS GWAC, which will expire Feb. 1, 2017.

In a new sources-sought notice, GSA said it’s researching the market for SDVOSBs that are capable of providing total IT solutions to federal agencies. GSA released the notice March 19. Responses are due April 3.

The first VETS GWAC has a $5 billion program ceiling and a five-year base period with one five-year option. So far about $1.7 billion in task orders have been issued under the current contract, according to Deltek. The contract has 50 primes.

The top five are:

• Catapult Technology with $212.9 million in task orders
• Information Innovators with $173.9 million
• Vision Technologies with $132.1 million
• Centuria Corp. with $130.7 million
• Veterans Enterprise Technology Solutions with $90 million
