The General Services Administration and the Army made it official Monday when they signed a memorandum of understanding for the Army to use the OASIS contract for their complex professional services projects.
The agreement applies to both the full-and-open OASIS vehicle and the vehicle reserved for small businesses.
The Army’s goal is to:
- Reduce costs by lower the number contracts it must manage.
- Reduce the time it takes to acquire complex professional services.
- Gain a better understanding of what it is buying and how much it costs.
- Get a better comparison of labor costs.
GSA earlier signed on the Air Force as a dedicated customer for OASIS. The contract is a large multiple award vehicle with nearly 200 companies and a $60 billion ceiling. The contract can be used for buying services such as management and consulting, engineering, logistics and financial services.
