Four small biz win $249m Army telecom contract

The Army awarded a four-year, $249 million IT support contract to four small businesses, the department announced March 11.

The Army awarded a four-year, $249 million IT support contract to four small businesses to provide enterprise IT services.

The IT and telecommunications transmission contract was awarded to Connected Logistics (LOGC2) of Huntsville, Ala., Strategy and Management Services of Springfield, Va., Octo Consulting Group Inc. of McLean, Va., and Mission 1st Group Inc. of Princeton, N.J.

Through the contract, the Army will buy enterprise information technical services. The services will support program manager installation information infrastructure communications and capabilities.

The contract’s overall estimated value is $249 million. Funding and work location will be determined with each order. The Army estimates the contract to be completed in March of 2018.
