Battelle Memorial Institute has won a $15 million option to provide the Navy with environmental services and technologies.

Work under the contract will support the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center in Port Hueneme, Calif., and will provide for environmental services and technology support to satisfy operational objectives of Navy and Marine Corps installations, the Defense Department said.

Under the option, Battelle will provide technology implementation, technical consultation, research and development, testing and evaluation, administrative support, site operation and maintenance, climate change initiatives, green and sustainable remediation practices development, and training.
