The Veterans Affairs Department is checking the market for a software-as-a-service contract for a web-based applicant tracking system.

The Veterans Affairs Department is checking the market for a software-as-a-service contract for a web-based applicant tracking system.

The VA wants to create a secure centralized database for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) employees who are recruiting people for health care work at the VHA and Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) and managing leads on applicants.

The database would store information on applicants for positions at various VISNs throughout the country. VA would use the database for lead-sharing of applicants’ information and provide a platform for capturing the leads and reporting recruitment activities. VA wants the software to have a task and to-do list function, automatic management report generator, and data migration functions.

The software-as-as-service contract would be a five-year, fixed-price contract.

VA released the source sought notice Jan. 23. Responses are due by Jan. 30.
